Kristal Pollack

A self-described real estate geek, Kristal especially enjoys working with clients who are newer to real estate and is passionate about making the process approachable through clear guidance and education along the way. Kristal works with home buyers, investors, and business owners to find the right fit and confidently navigate the process of purchasing or leasing both residential and commercial real estate. With firsthand experience as home buyer, business owner, and investor in residential and commercial properties, as well as a background in engineering, she brings a thoughtful, analytical approach to every transaction. She is a dedicated partner throughout her clients’ full real estate journey, combining curiosity, investment perspective, and deep knowledge of the Bay Area, particularly San Francisco, to serve as a trusted resource from search to closing and beyond.

Kristal has nearly two decades of experience in both high-tech startups and real estate investment. While working in distributed systems and senior software engineering roles at early-stage startups, she began buying and developing investment properties. A few years after one of her companies was acquired for over $1 billion by Microsoft, she decided to pursue her passion for real estate full-time, managing and developing her portfolio of residential and commercial properties. She has a talent for creatively reimagining properties and has managed extensive remodeling, redesign, and repair of single family, multi-family and commercial properties. As her real estate portfolio grew, an increasing number of friends and family sought her help and expertise in navigating the real estate market. The satisfaction of helping others find the property that matched their dreams and needs inspired Kristal to join The Swann Group, where her background makes her uniquely qualified in helping others achieve homeownership, investment success, and optimal property value in the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounds.

As a San Francisco resident for nearly 20 years and a long time homeowner, Kristal enjoys the vibrant city life and all it offers her and her family. Originally from Los Angeles, she was drawn to San Francisco's walkability and diverse neighborhood atmospheres, each just blocks apart. Kristal lives near the Presidio with her husband and daughter, where she enjoys the scenic trails and proximity to local cafés and grocery stores. Her prior residences include a loft in SOMA and a condo atop Nob Hill, where she served on the HOA board. Recently, Kristal also became a homeowner in Sonoma County, where she spends sunny weekends exploring the many renowned restaurants and wineries there. When she’s not working on real estate deals she stays busy working on new recipes at home, messy art projects with her daughter and volunteering at her school. 

Kristal holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Harvey Mudd College and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from UC Santa Cruz. She is a proud member of the San Francisco Association of Realtors, as well as other state and local real estate organizations.
